Saints Philip and JamesThe word of God today teaches us three important things to do with the good news that is preached to us. The first is to receive the gospel, that is,  the good news of salvation. The second is to stand by the gospel received, that is, live one's life by the ideals and tenets the gospel proposes.

St. AthanasiusThe Lord is the true vine. The essence of our lives depend on how grafted we are on to Him. He allows us to be grafted on Him,  to live in Him,  to live His life, out of the love He has for us. Generations of men and women,  of holy and devout persons, wanted to live one day in His time but did not have the opportunity, to hear what he says, but did not hear it.

St JosephThey told of the works of the Lord. They blessed the name of the Most High among His faithful people. They spoke of the glory of God's reign and declared His mighty deeds. They made known to the children of men the might of the Lord and the glorious splendour of God's reign. They spoke of God's everlasting kingdom and of His rule that endures forever all generations.
