Feast of Our Lady, Mother of Africa: the Virgin who listens, prays, intercedes, offers, keeps vigil - 30th April, 2018

Scripture: 1st Reading: Acts1,12-14; Resp. Psalm: Luke1, 46-55; Gospel: Jn2,1-11

Scripture: 1st Reading: Acts2,14,22-33; Resp. Psalm: Ps16,1-2,5-11; Gosp. Accl.: Ps118,24; Gospel: Mt28,8-15

The Resurrected Lord JesusJoy, unspeakable joy, filled the hearts of the women who today were privileged to see the Risen Lord. This is because from now on, the Lord would only appear to these privileged ones who would be saddled with the responsibility of making the gospel known and taking it to the ends of the earth. These women were therefore very privileged and must have cherished this encounter till their dying days.
